Chechenal Beach
Tucked right next to the Tayasal ruins, Chechenal Beach is a spacious, shade-filled favorite among locals. With comfortable hammocks, seating, a pier, and clean water, it is an easy and quick ride by bike. It is the perfect place to kick back by the lake after a day on the trails.
At a Glance
It’s a great spot to park your bike and cool off with a swim in the clear water after riding around the peninsula. The beach offers plenty of shade under the trees, along with tables and benches if you want to hang out and enjoy a picnic by the lake. You can also rent a hammock right by the shoreline, making it an ideal place to kick back, relax, and take a quick nap before making the trip back to Flores.
